The third generation iPod Shuffle has a voiceOver feature that announces your songs and playlists. If you bought your iPod in the US chances are that you will have English as your default language.

But what if English just doesn’t do that Latin song justice. Heres how to change the language of the voiceOver on a single song.

Right click the song that you want to change the language for and select get info. Then go to the options tab and click the drop down menu next “voiceOver Language” to see the available choices. Then click ok to finalize your decision.

Of curse if you wanted to play a practical joke on someone you could always change the language for all the songs. All you have to do is plug in the shuffle and wait for the iPod summary page to pop up. Then change the default language to something like turkish.

Are you fed up with the ear buds that came with the new iPod shuffle that you just bought? The fact that the controls for the iPod are located on the headphones, using your own can be quite problematic.

But lucky for you theres a fairly simple way to use your own ear buds without loosing that almighty button that controls all aspects of the shuffle.

Now, I know that this video was actually made for the iPhone ear buds but the concept is the same. The whole process is actually really simple, just follow this tutorial you will do fine.

Alternatively if you dont want to risk destroying your ear buds you could just cut the wires, strip them and then solder the leads together.
